Help out

With FreeOsZoo, the dream of running several Operating Systems on a single computer comes true.

FreeOsZoo provides ready-to-run images of QEMU virtual computers, pre-installed with a Free Operating System and a set of popular free software. To get started, you only need to install QEMU and download a single file from the FreeOsZoo project.

This wiki page is going to be the main reference of the project but it's still work in progress. Help us or just don't complain! :-)

Things to do

  • change the freeoszoo logo with the single OS logo inside each image's page

fill in the data for the images

  • correct all the mistakes and link to useful information about virtual machines and virtualization.
  • setup an automated upload page and establish a offical approval process so that there is some standardization on the images (this will prevent item #3 from happening any more)
  • Improve this wiki
  • Send new images, looks in wanted images
  • Check my mockup for the oszoo homepage here and help improve the layout

Policies and guidelines

Maybe we may define a standard "nomenclature" for qemu images files. Or implement some sort of "images submission form" that check images name, README file etc.

Ways to communicate

  • Using this Talk page
  • Maybe we can create an irc channel?
